Andy Cagle, owner of Andy’s The Professionals in Florence, AL for the past 15 years, has many achievements to his credit. Member of the Alabama Hair Fashion Committee since 1976, member of the National Hairdressers and Cosmetology Association since 1972, past president of Local Affiliate, member for three years of the State Executive Board. Completed courses necessary to become a State Educational Instructor. Guest artist at the State Teachers Conference in Montgomery, AL, which included coordinating his own slide presentation used during this course. Teaches classes in the latest techniques on hair cutting, styling and chemical concepts throughout the state for such groups as: Affiliate Workshops, Affiliate Meetings, Salon Owners, Schools and Alabama Hair FashionLong Curly Hair Committee Workshops. Members of the Advisory Board of Cosmetology for the city of Florence, AL and a member of the Muscle Shoals, AL Technical College Advisory Committee of Cosmetology. Attends National and International Conventions. Featured in Modern Salon Magazine (September-86, July-87, November-87, and May-89), Biz Magazine January-90 and Studio Collection Magazine, Vol. 6-1990. Winner of many contests in such states as Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama.

Andy’s purpose is to create styles for every occasion from the soft natural daytime look to the glamorous evening wear. Styles for the young to the older more mature individual. For her, short and sassy, smooth and sophisticated, layered textures, geometric lines, romantic silhouettes to upswept designs. For him, it’s bold to tight fitting, solid to graduated, textural statements, clean and simple.

In April, 2000, Andy Cagle won sixth place at the International Beauty Show in New York, behind four European stylists and one designer from New York.

Cagle, a Florence salon owner since 1977, competed in the Men’s Creative Fashion Hairstyle With Texture competition and the Men’s Street Fashion with Cut and Finger Styling competition. In the Creative Fashion category, stylists had only 20 minutes to dry and style a models’ hair, and Cagle placed behind two French stylists, one Italian and one Spanish and one designer from New York City.

Cagle has earned numerous state and regional awards for styling, including three Southeastern Top Three Design Awards and won First Place in Haircutting in the State of Alabama for three years in a row. He is also the author of Classic Cuts, a stylist’s guide to hair which you can purchase from his salon for $9.95.
